Virginia Dare is one of the world’s leading suppliers of natural vanilla, with Madagascar as both a vital source and a reflection of their long-standing commitment to sustainability. Their work goes beyond ingredients, ensuring that cultivation protects the land and strengthens the communities who grow it.

Communicating that story clearly wasn’t always easy. The nuance of farmer relationships, the personal connections behind every crop, and the scale of their investment in ethical, traceable sourcing often felt too complex for a quick conversation. To solve that, I worked with my creative director and strategy partner to develop a sell sheet that distilled these ideas into something clear, engaging, and easy to share. Distributed at trade shows, in presentations, and online, it gives new audiences an immediate sense of Virginia Dare’s approach to vanilla and sustainability.

The piece blends narrative with evidence — farmer relationships alongside certifications, impact data, and program highlights. That mix of humanity and proof, paired with clean, intentional structure, gives the Virginia Dare team a reliable tool to consistently communicate what makes them different in the world of sustainable vanilla.

Alongside the sell sheet, I wrote the script for a 90-second video that brings Virginia Dare’s sustainability story to life in greater detail. Drawing on my familiarity with the brand and the body of thought leadership I had developed on vanilla sourcing, I focused the narrative on what mattered most: the relationships with farmers, the systems ensuring ethical and traceable practices, and the long-term investment that sets Virginia Dare apart. Used in presentations, the video serves as a dynamic complement to the sell sheet, providing audiences with a more immersive view of the brand’s commitment to sustainable vanilla.

Together, the two pieces form a complete toolkit. In tandem, they equip Virginia Dare’s team to communicate the depth of their investment in Madagascar, differentiate themselves from competitors, and underscore their promise of delivering the highest-quality ingredients to consumers.
